Libel Hotline Referral Form.pdf

Established in 1853, the New York Press Association is the trade organization representing the weekly community newspapers of New York State. From covering the events of their rural farming communities to big-city neighborhoods, our members are as unique and different as newspapers can be. Yet they all profit from the common benefits of membership in NYPA.

NYPA's role in protecting and serving the interests of community newspapers includes coordinating lobbying efforts, sponsoring a Better Newspaper Contest, and providing a Libel Hotline and a General Business Hotline that put members in touch with an attorney 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Other services include annual conventions in the spring and fall, newsletters, publisher's memos, and one order - one bill - one check advertising placement services for display and classified advertising.

NYPA's commitment to its members has been going strong for almost 150 years. Our member services are constantly evolving to suit members' needs. We're always working to be the most effective resource available to New York's community newspapers.
