Workers' Compensation
An insurance group for Workers' Compensation Insurance (Newspaper Publishers
Safety Group #167) is open to all NYPA members.
The safety group offers a 15-20% advance discount to NYPA members.
Contingent balance monies accrue interest at a rate of 9%. In recent years,
the safety group has declared a year -end distribution of 25-30%.
To participate in the safety group, NYPA members should contact Paula

Libel Insurance
Member newspapers who utilize NYPA's libel hotline are eligible for a 10%
discount on libel insurance through select insurance carriers.

Disability Insurance
Disability insurance is available to NYPA member newspapers at a rate of
$3.75 per employee on a quarterly basis.
